Young Love:]

*Pictures were taken March 8th, 2010

This right here folks is a bo
y that I happen to be very fond of:]
We started dating on January 28th, 2010 and we're still going strong. I've never met an other boy like him. He makes me the happiest girl in the whole wide world. I can be myself around him and he can be himself around me. Ever single day he reminds me of how much I mean to him and he just makes me feel like a princess. We get along with each others families, and we get along with each others friends. This all seems like a fairy tale. It's just so perfect:] I thank God ever day for blessing me with Brent. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Starting March 5th, I am doing a "technolog
y cleanse." I deleted my myspace and facebook and I'm not going to make a new one until March 5th, 2011. I'm sure by then I won't even want a new one anyway. When I told this to people they all thought I was crazy. But really, it is just too much drama for me. It's hard to deal with people getting upset about me talking to so and so because they don't like them or throwing a fit because so and so is before them on my "top friends." I'm just done with it. And not to mention, things like that act as a drug. They are addictive and take up all of peoples time. I think it's best that I spend my time with family, friends, and studying for school rather then seeing who changed their status to "in a relationship."

**Jordan, if
you happen to read this, I hope you know how much I love you, miss you, and that you're my best friend.**

Halloween is here! :]

It's been a long time since I've written. I have my excuses though! I've been very busy with school, trying to keep my grades up. I passed the first term with a 3.8 GPA! I have to admit, I'm very satisfied and proud of myself. After doing terrible in school last year, it's my goal to do a thousand times better this year. I want to get at least two 4.0's this year. Next year, I'm going for all 4.0's. I would like to graduate high school with a scholarship to New York University. I'm not quite sure what I want to major in yet, but I've got a couple ideas.

Anyway, Halloween is almost here! Only three more days! I'm so very very much excited. I still don't know what I'm going to be yet, but I was thinking of being a bee:] I also thought about being the corpse bride, and a cool Asian chick. I'm going to have to decide soon though! Today in one of my classes, the kid that I really don't get along with was talking about how "lame" Halloween is. I just think he doesn't know how to have fun.

On Friday, the peer tutor council (Me and 6 other people) are planning a party for the mentally challenged kids. I think it's going to turn out awesome! The kids are also very, very excited. They have come up to me every single day this week with comments like "Ashley, are you ready for the party?!" and "Ashley, the party is on Friday! I'm so excited!" It's the most adorable thing:] I'm glad that they are so anxious for it and I hope it turns out as well as planned.

But anyway, just though I'd catch up! I hope all of you have a great weekend! Don't scare too many kids. :p

P.S. The costume I was thinking about is the picture at the top of the page... Just lower heels:]

How coconuts compare to donkeys.

So pretty much, I feel like I'm sitting home on a Friday night. BUT it's only Tuesday. I just have nothing to do. It's pretty sad that I turned to my blog for entertainment:p

Anyway. Today I went to summer seminary at the high school and one of the speakers told a really good story about his father when he was younger that I'd like to share with the world before I forget it. Okay here it goes.
-So "Billy" was sitting on the couch watching TV one day when he saw a commercial that really caught his interest. It was called "Adopt a Burrow." What you did, is you would send the money in and they would raise a donkey for you and send you an occasional photo. Now Billy had never had a pet before so he thought this was a great idea. So he went to his mom and told her all about the commercial. He explained what a great deal it was and how bad he really wanted it. His mom tried to explain that they don't send you an actual donkey, they just send a picture of one. Billy was devastated though. He REALLY wanted this donkey. Now Billy's father would always bring the kids treats home when he got back from work. Although he did not always have enough for every. Therefore, it was first come, first serve. To make Billy's day worse, he did not hear his dad walk in the door and when he noticed all the kids crowding him, he got even more sad. No donkey, no treats, it was the worst day ever. But then to his surprise, he heard his father say to all the kids, "Nope. This one is for Billy." So he ran up to his dad as fast as he could to see what treat had been saved for him. His dad then pulled out a coconut. Billy had no idea what a coconut was because he had never seen one before. His dad explained to him that to coconut was a donkey egg and if he took really good care of it, and kept it warm, safe, and dry, it would hatch into a donkey. Billy was SO excited. He took that donkey egg everywhere with him. By the time tomorrow came, Billy was getting a bit impatient with the egg and wanted it to hatch. So he went outside and "pretended" to drop it a couple times but the egg just wouldn't crack. So he lifted the egg as high as his arms could reach and threw the egg down with all of hit might. And... the egg split in two. The liquid started pouring out all over his driveway and that's when he realized... that he had killed his donkey. So he ran inside as fast as he could and hid the two pieces under his bed. He stayed in his room scared, and devastated all day. He didn't even run out to see his dad when he got home. When his mom finally called him out for dinner, Billy came out and didn't even look his father in the eye. He just scooped up his food and started shoving. That's when his father said, "So Billy. How's your donkey egg?" Billy started to panic and said, "Oh don't worry about it Dad. It's warm, it's safe, it's dry. I got this under control." His father replied, "Go get it. I want to see how it's doing."
"No dad really. Don't worry about it, I've got it under control I swear."
That's when his father said in a voice you couldn't argue with, "Billy, go get the egg." So Billy went into his room, and grabbed the two pieces. When he returned to the kitchen, he simply set the pieces down and began eating again.
His father interrupted and said, "So it hatched? Where's the donkey?"
Billy stood up and walked over to his dad. He put his hand on his shoulder and said, "Well dad. When donkey's first hatch, they are very small and very fast. This one was so fast, it just got away."

This story made me laugh and really got to me. Kids have got to be God's gift to the earth... Even though they are a pain sometimes ;P
